Mark received an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University where he became involved with Net Impact, an international organization committed to responsible business leadership. His experience with Net Impact inspired him to develop a business that would contribute to a more sustainable economy while accommodating our growing population, two strengths of green roofs. Since starting Recover with Brendan, Mark has helped design and build over 70 green roofs including two award-winning rooftop farms: The Ledge Kitchen & Drinks and the Whole Foods Market in Lynnfield, MA. With a background in landscaping, operational logistics, supply-chain management, and customer service, Mark is an accredited Green Roof Professional (GRP), a licensed General Contractor, and Recover's Director of Operations.
Brendan’s career is grounded in over ten years of experience working for the New England representative of Clivus Multrum, specializing in innovative, onsite wastewater engineering. A LEED accredited professional, Brendan has extensive experience with project management and design/build implementation. Brendan's transition into the green roof industry allows him to combine his passion for plants with his construction experience.
Tony received his Masters of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2009 where he focused in Sustainability and Regenerative Design. Upon graduation, he applied these principles while working on a variety of passive homes in Boston, including the winner of the 2011 Green Conservation-Renovation Mayor's Award. Before moving to New York City to work as a project manager for Walker Ridge construction company, Tony was Recover's first employee helping on the design/build of the Ledge Kitchen & Drinks' rooftop farm. After three years apart, Tony has moved back to Boston to work full time for Recover and apply his knowledge of design and construction management.
Richie was first introduced to the green roof industry through his studies at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture before becoming an accredited Green Roof Professional (GRP). Richie found himself naturally drawn to the design and build of vegetated systems on man-made structures as a result of his upbringing in Maine, where he spent time landscaping, woodworking, and gardening from a young age and developed a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Since joining the Recover team in 2013, Richie has continually pursued classes in sustainability, landscape design, roofing, and irrigation and serves as an invaluable resource to those with whom he works. Richie collaborates daily with architects, contractors, and property owners to envision and implement proper green roof applications for all new projects regardless of scope of work, design objective and complexity, and unique environmental factors.
