ECOLOGICAL BENEFIT
The newly built Quincy Central Middle School received its LEED Gold certification in 2015. It incorporates a 3,200-square-foot green roof into the design primarily for increased cooling benefit and stormwater management.
Recover installed LiveRoof trays in a grid-like system above a PVC waterproof membrane for a functional and aesthetically pleasing result from day one. Permaloc aluminum edge restraints around drains ensure that water can easily evacuate the roof through vegetation-free zones.
