STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
The Hingham Intermodal Center is a transportation facility located in the historic Hingham Shipyard adjacent to a mixed-use development featuring residences, offices, retail, entertainment, and recreational spaces.
Recover installed a 4,500-square-foot, drought-tolerant sedum mat system on two adjacent roofs of the Intermodal Center, designed to reduce stormwater runoff and improve building performance. Overlooking Hingham Bay and a large commuter parking lot, this green roof performs an important job by creating pervious surface for water to filter through before running into the bay.
